🇺🇸 Kicking Off Freedom Week! 🇺🇸

Our Gonzales Elementary scholars are beginning Freedom Week by proudly reciting the Preamble to the United States Constitution!

The Preamble reminds us that our Constitution was created to establish justice, promote peace, protect our freedoms, and build a stronger nation for generations to come. By learning these powerful words, our scholars are discovering the importance of citizenship, unity, and the rights and responsibilities we share as Americans.

We are so proud of our Bulldogs for helping us celebrate the freedoms that unite us! ❤️🤍💙

Today we celebrated Mexico Independence Day with a sweet treat for our amazing teachers! ❤️🤍💚 Our Pan Dulce Cart was a fun way to show appreciation while celebrating the beautiful cultures and diversity that make our Gonzales family so special. 🌎❤️

We are proud to create a campus where different cultures, traditions, and backgrounds are celebrated and shared! 🐾

A BIG shout out to our amazing Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. McCloud & Mrs. Brusuelas, for setting clear, consistent expectations and creating classrooms where our little Bulldogs can learn, grow, and succeed! Awesome job kinder! 💛

We are so proud of our amazing principal for receiving ECISD’s Excellence in Leadership Award! 🏆 Your dedication, leadership, and love for our Bulldogs continue to make Gonzales Elementary shine. This recognition is so well deserved!

Congratulations to Gonzales Elementary Principal Amanda Sierra the recipient of the school year’s first Excellence in Leadership Award. Given monthly to a district leader, this award honors those who live out aspects of ECISD’s Leadership Definition. Ms. Sierra exemplifies the characteristic Excel: Results Driven as evidenced by the growth Gonzales Elementary showed in her first year as the principal (2025-26) – an improvement of 21 points from a D rating to a B rating. She is described as a leader who is willing to study the data, confront areas of need, act with urgency, and continuously raise expectations.
