Graduate Studies Alumni Highlight -- Meet Juliana Almanza from Yuma, Arizona who graduated from UTPB with an MS in Finance.
"Studying and graduating from UTPB represents perseverance, growth, and accomplishment beyond what I once thought was possible. As a first-generation student, earning my master’s degree in finance is not only a personal milestone but also a reflection of the sacrifices and determination that shaped my journey."
As a full-time Institutional Research Analyst and a mother of three daughters, UTPB’s online program made it possible for Juliana to pursue higher education without stepping away from her career or family responsibilities.
"The flexibility of the program allowed me to stay present for my daughters while continuing to grow professionally, and it taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of long-term goals."
Juliana plans to continue advancing in higher education administration and data-informed decision-making, using her MS in Finance to support strategic planning, resource allocation, and institutional effectiveness.
"My goal is to keep growing into leadership opportunities where I can make a meaningful impact while also serving as an example to my daughters that education is a lifelong investment."
We are so proud of you Juliana!
