Good luck to all of the students and parents beginning a new school year this week! 🍎✏️

As a parent, I know back-to-school brings so many emotions—excitement, nervousness, pride, and maybe a little disbelief at how quickly our children are growing. My own kids are starting 2nd, 7th, and 9th grades this week, so our family is experiencing three very different stages and plenty of big feelings!

I hope every student walks into the new year feeling encouraged, supported, and ready for all that lies ahead. Wishing families a smooth transition, teachers a wonderful start, and students a year filled with growth, confidence, and success! 💛

HSPT or ISEE—what’s the difference?

Families exploring private school admissions often hear about both tests. The exam your child needs will depend on the schools to which they are applying:

📕 **HSPT:** Primarily used by Catholic high schools
📘 **ISEE:** Primarily used by independent schools

Although both are timed admissions tests that assess reading, math, verbal, and reasoning skills, they differ in structure, timing, scoring, essay requirements, and retesting opportunities.
