Today, the Oden campus is celebrating Senior Sarah Starr! Sarah is our OHS Senior Class President; she helps read our daily announcements, and she volunteers at preschool…in a nutshell. Sarah Starr finds a way to help the Oden campus, and for that we want to recognize her today!

Oden Schools has been ranked seventh by SchoolDigger.com for 2025 in the state of Arkansas. Oden K-12 Principal Elicia Bergum surprised her instructional staff with t-shirts and banners celebrating the Oden community's accomplishment during a staff meeting held on the Oden campus on August 6, 2025. The accomplishment will be celebrated with students, parents, and community members as the Fall semester of the 2025-26 school year begins on August 12. Another raffle item that is sure to be a favorite this year is the “Porch Swing”

This perfect little Wicker Swing is sure to provide relaxation after a hard day at work. The hanging bench can support up to 800 lbs and the 4FT length will allow up to two people to sit and enjoy leisure time from their porch or yard. The two Fall pillows add the perfect festive touch. Get your tickets now! Who knows this may be just the item you need to make your porch your new favorite spot.

The Porch Swing was thoughtfully donated by the Shores Family. Jessi has been a BIG supporter and member of Oden Schools PTO for the past four years. Mrs. Jessi (Smith) Shores is a proud OHS alumni from the class of 2006 and we are proud to call her a Timberwolf. Thank you to the Shores Family for your generous donation and for all your help in supporting our school and organization over the last few years.

“The Outdoorsman” package. This raffle item is perfect for any hunter in the family.

First we would like to thank Hospice Home Care for generously donating the hunting basket. This basket has all the THINGS! A Hunter Orange Beanie, a large package of Hot Hands (perfect for those cold days in the stand), plenty of snacks, Scent Away body wash and deodorant, Fresh Earth Scent Wafers, Flextone Rattle Bag, Buck Jam Liquid Deer Attractant, and more! Thank you Hospice Home Care for your donation and thank you for supporting Oden Schools PTO. Your hunting basket is sure to be a big hit!

It is Raffle time! Tickets went home with your student Wednesday. Additional tickets are available in the main office and from your student’s classroom teacher.

We truly can not thank you enough for all you have done to help make this year’s Halloween Carnival a success. Supporting Oden PTO means supporting our students. Our students are truly what it is all about.

Our first RAFFLE item up for display is one of my favorites this year. Back by popular demand The Picnic Table!

This beautifully crafted cedar picnic table was generously donated by Leon Stovall (Class of 1971). This picnic table is well made, very sturdy, and looks beautiful. A perfect addition to any porch or yard.
This is the fourth year Mr. Stovall has shared his amazing wood work with us and the second year he has blessed us with a beautiful picnic table. Mr. Leon your continued support is very much appreciated. We are extremely thankful for your time, hard work, and generosity.

PTO closed out another Read Across America Week with Ode Maddox Elementary exceeding their weekly goal of 400 points! Way to go kiddos. What better way to celebrate than with cupcakes, juice and free books!
