🧀 Sneaking veggies into baking has never tasted so good! Today in MasterChef, our student chefs baked up a batch of delicious savory cheesy zucchini scones. They are absolutely scone-believable!

Yesterday, our Talk With Your Hands class had a very special guest, a native ASL user - Mrs. Ashley Russ! Mrs. Russ introduced a story that the class will learn and perform at the end of this session. The class learned the importance of facial expressions when telling a story and even practiced signing their names to Mrs. Russ! It truly was a wonderful day to be a Panther!

Fresh ingredients + friendly competition = today’s MasterChef class! 🥗 Students made a chickpea and feta cucumber salad and competed for top marks in taste, presentation, and kitchen cleanliness. Every team knocked it out of the park! 🎉 📸

📚 From West Africa to the Truffula Trees: More Summer School Highlights! 🌍

Our students are traveling the world and exploring classic stories through some amazing hands-on activities this week! Check out what’s happening:
🍲 FALS Summer Book Club: Our readers didn't just read about the culture in their summer book study—they tasted it! Yesterday, they cooked up a delicious batch of West African Peanut Stew (Maafe) inspired by their reading. Safe to say it was absolutely YUMMY! 😋
🌳 Art & Authors: Students took a deep dive into the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss, learning all about The Lorax and its important lessons about taking care of our planet. 🌲

We love seeing our students bring literature to life through cooking and creativity!

Through a special partnership between the Oconto Falls School District and Oconto County Public Health, we are bringing this fun, hands-on safety program to our community's youth! Kids will learn pedestrian, bike, fire, and water safety.

This event is FREE and open to all community families, but registration is capped at 20 students per age group!

Ages 4–5: July 28 & 30 | 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Our campers have been diving headfirst into worlds of adventure, mystery, and creativity this week at Literacy Camp! From building decoding skills with interactive phonics games to bringing our favorite storybook characters to life, these bright minds are gearing up for fun!

A huge shoutout to our incredible educators for making reading so magical, and to our campers for bringing their A-game every single day.
