I have posted articles on how the state of Mississippi has made amazing progress improving their K-12 Reading proficiency. Now the city of New Orleans has completely turned around their failing schools. Their methods seem so logical and practical such that most school districts can use those as a model for improvement.

Twenty years after Katrina, the city’s nearly all-charter district has transformed one of America’s worst school systems into a model of academic improvement.

Over 800 Univ. of California faculty have signed an open letter urging the administration to resume standardized testing for all incoming students. They sight recent statistics showing that students' math skills that are below the high school level has increased nearly 30-fold. Shocking!!!

Students do not need to take any action. ACT will resend scores once they're corrected by no later than June 2.
