🥋 **KIDS NO-GI JIU-JITSU — MONDAYS & THURSDAYS AT 5:30 PM!**

Looking for a class that gets your kids moving, builds confidence, and teaches them real skills — while still being FUN? 💙

Our **Kids No-Gi classes** give young athletes a chance to learn Jiu-Jitsu, improve coordination, build confidence, and get comfortable working with different partners.

🤼 **MONDAYS • 5:30 PM**
**Wrestling Emphasis** — takedowns, movement, balance, control, and learning how to safely get the match to the ground.

🥋 **THURSDAYS • 5:30 PM**
**No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu** — technique, positional skills, movement, and plenty of opportunities to put what they're learning into practice.

🥋 Finishing an Incredible Weekend Learning from a Legend

Josh and Dave wrapped up the Pedro Sauer Association Team Gathering in Las Vegas with another unforgettable opportunity — training with the legendary Fabio Santos alongside Master Pedro Sauer.

Fabio Santos is a 7th-degree Jiu-Jitsu coral belt (black & red), awarded by Relson Gracie, and received his black belt under the legendary Rickson Gracie. His decades of experience and connection to the roots of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu make opportunities like this incredibly special.

As a proud Team Curran affiliate, Open Guard is incredibly grateful to be part of the lineage and community that Jeff Curran has built. We definitely missed having Jeff there with us this weekend, but we’re thankful for the opportunities, relationships, and continued growth that come from being part of this team.

For Josh and Dave, this gathering was about more than just time on the mats. It was a chance to learn from some of the most respected instructors in Jiu-Jitsu, grow as practitioners and coaches, and bring that knowledge and experience back home to Open Guard and our students.

There is always more to learn — and getting the opportunity to learn directly from people who have helped shape the art is something you never take for granted.

🥋 An Incredible Day of Learning in Las Vegas!

Josh and Dave had an amazing opportunity today at the Pedro Sauer Association Team Gathering in Las Vegas, spending the morning on the mats for Round Robin Training led by Mica Cipili, Ryan Lizares, Ricky Lundell, and Greg Nelson.

The amount of Jiu-Jitsu knowledge and experience in one room was incredible. 🔥

🥋 Mica Cipili — A 6th-degree BJJ black belt with decades of experience training under legends including Pedro Sauer, Rickson Gracie and Royler Gracie. He is a highly accomplished competitor and longtime instructor.

🥋 Ryan Lizares — Pedro Sauer black belt, accomplished wrestler and founder of Gracie Technics in Hawaii. Ryan has helped develop high-level fighters, including working with UFC champion Max Holloway.

🥋 Ricky Lundell — A Pedro Sauer black belt who began Jiu-Jitsu at six and earned his black belt at 19. A two-time FILA Grappling World Champion and former NCAA Division I wrestler at Iowa State, Ricky has also coached and trained alongside some of MMA’s biggest names.

🥋 Greg Nelson — Pedro Sauer black belt, accomplished martial artist and founder of The Academy/Minnesota Martial Arts Academy. His extensive coaching background includes UFC champions and elite fighters, with decades of experience in wrestling, Muay Thai, submission grappling and BJJ.

For Josh and Dave, opportunities like this are about more than learning new techniques. It’s about continuing to be students of the art — learning from people who have dedicated their lives to Jiu-Jitsu, refining the details and bringing that knowledge and energy back home to the Open Guard family. 💙🥋

We’re incredibly grateful to be part of the Pedro Sauer Association and to have opportunities to learn, grow and connect with such an extraordinary Jiu-Jitsu community.
