🔬 Kindergarten Scientists at Work! 🧪

Our kindergarten students took on a big engineering challenge: build the tallest tower using only 10 red solo cups and 10 index cards!

Working in teams, students tested their ideas, tried different strategies, learned from each trial, and revised for their thinking along the way. They were practicing collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, perseverance, and the engineering design process - all while having a blast!

We love watching our youngest learners, think like scientists and engineers! ❤️

Behind so many great teachers is a teacher who once inspired them. ❤️ We asked our staff to share the teacher who made a lasting impact on their lives—and why they’ll never forget them.

Today, we celebrate the educators who inspired us, believed in us, and helped shape the teachers we are today. 📚✏️

📢 Pick a Date to Donate! 💵

Our Cardinals came home yesterday with red calendars, and we’re excited to kick off our Ocoee Elementary PTA Calendar Fundraiser!

Here’s how it works:

1. Find a family member, friend, neighbor, or other supporter who would like to donate to Ocoee Elementary.
2. Choose an open date on the calendar.
3. Donate the amount that matches the date you choose. For example:
Choose the 5th → Donate $5
Choose the 10th → Donate $10
Choose the 20th → Donate $20
4. Once the donation is collected, mark that date off and keep going!

Our goal is to fill the entire calendar!

Complete Your Calendar & Earn Rewards
- Sno-Cone Party: Students who fill their entire calendar will be invited to a special Sno-Cone Party!
- Orlando Science Center Family Membership: Every student who completes their calendar will be entered into a raffle for a Family Membership to the Orlando Science Center.
- First 10 Students: The first 10 students to turn in a completed calendar will receive a $10 Walmart Gift Card!

We encourage our Cardinals to reach out to grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, friends, and family members for support.

Every dollar raised through this PTA fundraiser goes directly toward supporting our Ocoee Elementary students and school.

Thank you for helping us make this fundraiser a success, Cardinals!

Alt-text: fundraising calendar flyer for Ocoee Elementary PTA titled “Pick a Date to Donate Fundraiser.” The calendar has numbered boxes for dates 1–31, with spaces for a student’s name and teacher. Instructions explain that students choose an open date, write their name, and donate the dollar amount matching that date. Students who fill their entire calendar will be invited to a Sno-Cone Party. The flyer notes that cash donations and completed calendars are due Friday, October 30. A cardinal illustration and small calendar, money, and Sno-Cone graphics decorate the flyer.
