For all you teenage zombies in love, remember this week, 28th through 30th at 7 PM is our musical Zombie Prom! Many of you know about this already, but for those who don't, tickets are 7 dollars at the door! Get excited for our saddle shoes and letterman jackets!

The hard work, countless hours spent rehearsing, prepping programs, making badges, ordering trophies, making buttons, packing grab bags, batching t-shirts and adjudication sheets has paid off. The District 5 Thespian Festival went off as smoothly as we could have hoped. Thank you parents for your support, and thank you students for your hard work. Our one-act received excellent ratings in acting and a perfect score (as well as having an award created for them) for our tech crew. Willie Jones was awarded a best in show for his playwriting entry. The troupe earned 9 superiors and 12 excellents. That would be wonderful any year, but even more so this year given it was the first year organizing the festival as well as preparing their individual events.
Congratulations Troupe 6893 and the Ocoee Character Company and Happy Thanksgiving.

Laugh, cry, and even encounter the undead all in one evening as you watch four unique one-act plays performed by the talented students in the Ocoee Character Company.

Expect not one, not two, but four different stories told by the freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors of the O.C.C. A variety of one-acts will be performed, which include How to Succeed in High School Without Really Trying by Jonathan Rand, 10 Ways to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse by Don Solidis, A Moment in Time by Eddie Kennedy, and Mirrors by John O'Brien.

Performances will take place at 7 P.M. on the evenings of October 22, 23, and 24th. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door for $7, or vouchers able to be redeemed for any performance are being sold by the members of the O.C.C until Friday, September 25th, for just $5.

They did it. They finally did it. Congratulations to the cast and crew of The Trials of Elizabeth Seager for coming in under time for the first time...and the second time! You guys are awesome. Keep it up!

Yesterday was the first real tech rehearsal for the one-act. The neophytes learned just how much work being in an OCC one-act can be. By the end of rehearsal the cast and crew only needed to shave one and half minutes off their set up, and four minutes off packing the box. Sounds like a lot, but I believe they can do it.
