Central Florida Orlando Systema Orlando’s ONLY true school teaching Russian Systema for self-defense and personal mastery. Build real skills, mental clarity, and physical resilience.

Powerful healing methods included to restore, strengthen, and transform. Central FL Systema is the only Russian Martial Arts school in Greater Orlando which features the art of Systema, approved by Vladimir Vasiliev and associated with Senior Instructors, David and Rick Merrell. Our classes are taught not only for self-defense (kick and punch defense, knife work, multiple attackers) improved physical conditioning, and discipline, but also feature the "lessons behind the lessons" -- those valuable pieces of insight which we can apply to life. This is the true value of martial arts today. CFL Systema was founded by Dr. David Orman. David has been training in martial arts since 1985 and holds black belt rank in 4 other arts and was the first Full Instructor in Systema (from Vladimir Vasiliev). He is the one who brought the art of Systema to the Orlando area. We train on MONDAY nights at 7pm (at Jessie Brock Community Center) and select Saturdays and special seminars. Come join us.

Some people will tell you to stay small, quiet, and safely within the crowd. The “tall poppy” story reminds us what can happen when someone rises above the rest.

But your gifts were never meant to be hidden. You don’t have to define yourself by a label or wait for others to recognize your worth. Discover what you do well, develop it, and let it take you somewhere extraordinary.

Go ahead and be a poppy anyway.

Read “Go Ahead and Be a Poppy Anyway!” and share it with someone who needs the reminder.

Poppy? Listent! Let yourself grow

Honored and thrilled to have my students and school featured on Vladimir's Patreon page. Congratulations to all of you who have been training long and hard, and deep appreciation to Vladimir.
