This week’s Soaring Blue Jay is someone who truly embodies what it means to be a team player!

She stepped up and took the lead with our ESE drop-off and pick-up gate, making sure the gate is open and ready each morning. She also works hard alongside her teacher as a paraprofessional in our K–1 classroom, always willing to jump in, lend a helping hand, and do whatever is needed to support our students and staff.

Her dedication, teamwork, and willingness to serve others do not go unnoticed. We are so grateful for the positive energy and support she brings to our school each day!

We are so grateful for the incredible members of our Spring Lake Elementary PTO! 🐦

These wonderful volunteers give their time, energy, creativity, and heart to help make Spring Lake a special place for our students, staff, and families. Today, we were happy to recognize them with certificates and a Spring Lake token of appreciation as a reminder of just how much they mean to us. 💐✨

Thank you for showing up, pitching in, supporting our school, and always being willing to help. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are so lucky to have you as part of our Blue Jay family!

One Week Down!

The first week of school is officially in the books, and we couldn’t let it end without a little sweet treat to celebrate! Thank you to our incredible teachers and staff for all the hard work, patience, smiles, and love you poured into making our Blue Jays’ first week so special.

💭 We’re DREAMing BIG at Spring Lake! 💙

We are thrilled to officially launch D.R.E.A.M. — Design, Research, Engineering, Arts & Math/Science — for our Blue Jays this year, with an exciting vision to grow into a full K–5 Academy in the future. A heartfelt thank you to our Specials Team, Media Specialist, and Math/Science Coach for their collaboration and dedication in bringing this vision to life!

To kick things off, our 4th and 5th graders participated in a DREAM Academy Showcase where they explored each pathway and voted on the focus they are most excited to pursue during Specials. Each semester, students will have the opportunity to dive deeper into their chosen area of interest—strengthening student voice and choice while engaging in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that inspire creativity, problem-solving, and discovery.

This work is also a direct response to family feedback requesting more opportunities for creativity, exploration, and student-driven learning. DREAM Academy is one of the ways we are turning that feedback into action.

For our K–3 Blue Jays, DREAM is already taking shape through Media in Specials, where students are beginning to build foundational skills in research, exploration, and creative thinking.

And a quick reminder—Wednesdays and Fridays are School Spirit Days! 💙🤍 We love seeing our Blue Jays proudly showing their Spring Lake spirit.

This is just the beginning of an exciting journey. Together, we are creating opportunities for students to DREAM big—and bring those dreams to life! 🐦💭✨

💙💚 WHAT AN AMAZING FIRST DAY, BLUE JAYS! 💚💙

We had such a wonderful first day of school at Spring Lake Elementary! Our halls were filled with smiling faces, excited students, and so much Blue Jay pride.

A huge THANK YOU to our families for your support in having your children arrive in their school uniforms. Our students looked absolutely AMAZING! 💙 Seeing so many of our Blue Jays dressed for success made our first day feel extra special.

We appreciate our families for helping us start the school year strong. We are so excited for all that this year will bring!
