Our school is looking for an experienced and certified 5-9 or 6-12 Science teacher to teach 7th and 8th grades Science. The successful candidate will be joining a strong and collaborative team who are dedicated to providing the best of academic instruction and social emotional support to our students. We participate in project based learning and follow Montessori educational pedagogy - self directed and empowered learners are our goal. We use Restorative Justice.

- Please keep in mind that our school is a Charter Public Montessori school and a Florida State Teaching Certificate is required to be a lead teacher.

- Please know in accepting you will also engage in a 2- year Montessori training program (the school covers the cost). This new cohort of teachers will begin their training in October 2022.

We pay on par with OCPS.

We do not participate in FRS.

We are a public charter Montessori school set on 18 beautiful acres in Ocoee, FL. We serve approximately 800 children from PK3 through 8th grade on our North Lakewood campus. We also are excited to have our high school campus opening in August 2022.

We are looking for a Staffing Specialist to serve our K-8 students. State of Florida ESE certification, is a required and the ideal candidate will have three or more years ESE teaching experience. Knowledge of Montessori education is appreciated but not required.

We have a wonderful child-centered team and visitors to our campus often comment on how happy everyone seems. We have recently become accredited by Cognia and the International Montessori Council.

Pay is commensurate with OCPS.

We do not participate in FRS, but do have retirement savings options available.

Innovation Montessori Ocoee, founded in 2011, is an OCPS charter school, set on 18 beautiful acres in Ocoee, Central Florida. Our school serves approximately 1000 children from preschool through high school.

We are seeking an Upper Elementary teacher (multi-aged classroom, including grades four, five and six) to join our team.

State of Florida teacher certification for K-6 is required. Montessori Upper Elementary experience/certification is preferred but not required. Teachers who join us without Montessori certification must commit to beginning upper elementary training within twelve months of hire and a summer cohort before the start of the school year is preferable. The school will provide a scholarship for half the training cost and an interest-free loan for tuition for the rest, if desired.

Candidates should have knowledge of Montessori philosophy, and able to support a joyful, child-centered learning environment. Our large and bright classroom suites are shared by two classes of children, with two teachers and one teacher's assistant. Upper Elementary teachers are enlightened generalists, teaching all subjects to their own roster of students. Candidates must be able to work effectively in a co-operative environment. Our school uses restorative justice and places a great emphasis on whole child education and community.

Qualifications and Skills:

Current Florida state K-6 teaching certification is required. Montessori certification preferred but not required immediately. Commencement of Montessori training within 12 months of hire is required for teachers not possessing certification at time of hire.

Pay is commensurate with OCPS. We do not participate in FRS but do have contributory retirement savings options.

Get your application for the 2021-2022 school year in before midnight tonight, Tuesday, February 16th, to be included in the lottery, which runs tomorrow, Wednesday, February 17th at noon. Applications received after midnight tonight will go to the end of the waitlist at the desired grade level. Our Casa program is not part of the lottery, so the deadline doesn't apply to three and four year old applications.

Applications for the 2021-2022 school year are live. Be sure to get your application in before February 17th, when we will run our lottery. Sign-ups for virtual school tours are now available on our website. Please share this information with any families or friends you have who may be interested in Innovation Montessori. We serve three and four-year-olds in our tuition-based Casa program. Children in kindergarten through 12th grade are tuition free.

Dear Community,

As I have followed the news of today's events that witnessed our Capitol under siege, I often thought of our students. Specifically how as adult role models we need to share with students the importance of civility. An OCPS post is worth repeating, "As our young people witness the violence happening at the U.S. Capitol, we rededicate ourselves to teaching the importance of civility in the democratic process of the United States of America."

When I was a child, I too remember unfortunate seminal events of the nineteen sixties and seventies,and the guidance my parents and teachers provided that helped me frame the tragedies and give them some much needed perspective. Their words strengthened my belief about the importance of maintaining civility, especially during the heart of passionate disagreement and discourse.

Our hearts and thoughts are with those who may have suffered today. We again rededicate ourselves to teaching peace and conflict resolution - today and tomorrow, for our children and the future of our country.

We close this first semester of the school year with so much gratitude for our wonderful teachers, staff and community. It wasn't always easy, but we got it done in true Montessori style - with as much persistence, grace and kindness as possible.

Please enjoy the beautiful artwork that our art teacher, Ms Christie, and our drama teacher, Ms Lilly, volunteered their time last weekend to paint. It certainly added a little holiday cheer for all our on-campus students and staff.

We wish everyone who celebrates the very best of the season. We'll see you all in 2021!

A tuition-free charter school offering an authentic Montessori education located in beautiful Ocoee, in Orange County, Florida.

We will have an opening for an RN starting on November 2nd. This person will staff our sick clinic, where children exhibiting any COVID-like symptoms will be sent, until their parents can get to school. The position will pay $20 to $30 per hour, depending on licensing and experience. Hours are 7:50 am to 3:50 pm, Monday through Friday.
