Every Friday means hands-on STEM time: tackling big questions, building creative solutions, and testing ideas that sometimes need a few tries before they succeed. 🚀🪐

Last week’s STEM Open House brought families into that process. Scholars demonstrated their work, walked parents through their prototypes, and explained their engineering thinking with the confidence that comes from doing the real work every week. They weren’t just showing projects; they were leading the lab! 🛠️🤖

Our SOS Dance Team walked into their first-ever competition having rebuilt all three routines from scratch just days before, and walked out as CHAMPIONS!

Over the past two years, these Scholars have been building toward this moment under the direction and choreography of Coach Trell Britton. Every routine told a story: the history of Memphis Jookin, the power of togetherness, and a message to anyone who counted them out. By the third routine, the building was roaring for Scholarship Prep!

You came in as the underdog story. You left as champions. Congratulations to the SOS Dance Team and Coach Britton! Thank you to every staff member and family who supported these Scholars along the way.

Last week, Scholarship Prep Oceanside celebrated our Scholars’ accomplishments during the fall semester. Families filled St. Francis Hall with cheers as Scholars received awards for:

📚Stories leapt off the pages and onto campus as Scholarship Prep Oceanside celebrated Literature Day!

More than 630 Scholars paraded through campus dressed as favorite storybook characters, while staff participated in the fun with Cartoon-themed costumes.

Families also joined the celebration, transforming over 30 vehicles into themed displays for our Trunk or Treat event. Thanks to our incredible family volunteers and a generous Pep Squad donation, every Scholar took home fidgets, toys, treats, and snacks to make the day even sweeter.

Classroom celebrations capped off the day, filled with laughter and the community spirit that makes Scholarship Prep such a special place to learn and grow.

Literature Day continues to be one of our Scholars’ favorite days of the year, and it’s easy to see why. Thank you to everyone who made this a successful event!💙🩵

Because of our incredible families, friends, and supporters near and far, this year’s APEX Fun Run raised over $23,000 for Scholarship Prep Oceanside! 🎉

Your generosity directly supports our Scholars through enrichment programs, electives, staff appreciation, and school events that strengthen the community we’re so proud of.

A huge shoutout to our PEP Squad, the family-led group that organized the fundraiser and continues to help promote a safe, positive, and connected school culture all year long.

Families recently stepped onto campus for Back to School Night, following our Sharks through classrooms and hallways as they pointed out their favorite projects and learning spaces. 🦈

It was a night of conversation, connection, and a firsthand look at the routines that keep our Sharks engaged and ready to excel.
