Mary Fay Pendleton Elementary welcomed students, families, and members of the military community for a wonderful Back to School Night! Families had the opportunity to meet teachers and staff, visit classrooms, and get a glimpse of the exciting learning ahead for the 2026–27 school year.

Thank you to Principal Brian Frost and the entire MFP team for creating such a warm and welcoming evening!

San Diego County has issued a heat advisory from Tuesday, August 25, at 10:00 a.m. through Friday, August 28, at 8:00 p.m. FUESD is prioritizing the health and safety of our students and will be following the guidelines from the California Department of Public Health. We will be limiting outside play and suspending any strenuous physical activities until temperatures return to a safe level. Additionally, we will be encouraging students to stay hydrated throughout the day.

We will continue to monitor conditions closely and will communicate any updates as needed. If you have any questions, please contact your school’s front office.
