☀️ A Wonderful Start to August at Providence Montessori! 🌿
As we enjoy these beautiful, sunny summer days, we are also getting ready for a new school year! 📚✨ Our first week of August was filled with learning, practicing independence, and preparing our classroom community for a wonderful year ahead.
The children practiced our classroom ground rules, learned to care for themselves, their friends, and their belongings, and worked on handwashing, table manners, and Grace & Courtesy. They also practiced recognizing and tracing their first and last names, building confidence and independence along the way.
And of course, we made time for fun! Friday was Dance Day, and the children loved dancing and moving to the music. We ended the week with a special summer treat popsicles! 🍧

Our Fire Station field trip was a wonderful success! 🚒❤️

The children had an unforgettable experience meeting our local firefighters, hearing the fire station alarms, and even watching the firefighters respond to a real emergency call. The children explored the fire truck, sat in the driver’s seat, and learned about the important role firefighters play in keeping our community safe. Seeing real-life heroes in action made this a field trip they will remember for years to come.

A heartfelt thank you to Lucas’s mom for bringing thoughtful appreciation gifts for the firefighters and special treats for the children. Your kindness made the day even more special.

Thank you to our brave firefighters for your dedication, courage, and service. We are so grateful for all that you do to keep us safe! ❤️🚒

Learning comes to life through real-world experiences at Providence Montessori!

It’s hard to believe we’re almost in August! That means a brand-new school year is just around the corner.
We have been making the most of every summer day at Providence Montessori! From exploring our beautiful outdoor classroom and playground to surprise Water Days, exciting science experiments, creative arts and crafts, gardening, cooking, and hands-on Montessori learning, every day is filled with laughter, discovery, and joy.
Watching the children learn, grow, and build friendships while enjoying the wonders of nature has made this a truly memorable summer.
We are looking forward to welcoming both our returning and new families for another amazing school year. The adventure continues at Providence Montessori!

Our field trip to O’side Ponies was a wonderful adventure! The children had an amazing time riding the ponies, painting the ponies, exploring the open fields, and playing in the corn. It was a joyful day filled with laughter, hands-on experiences, building confidence, and connecting with nature and animals.
At Providence Montessori, we believe meaningful learning happens through real-life experiences that inspire curiosity, independence, and a love for the natural world. Thank you, O’side Ponies, for making this such a memorable day for our children! 🐴🌽🌿

Our Summer Program is in full swing, and both our children and parents are loving it!
Being surrounded by nature makes every day a wonderful learning adventure. Our beautiful outdoor classroom provides the structure of the Montessori work cycle while giving children easy access to the playground, water play, painting, gardening, and hands-on exploration.

On Monday, we enjoyed Storytelling Day, where the children used their imagination and learned to tell stories in their own words. Water Day is always a huge hit with our exciting rocket ship sprinkler! Park Day, Dance Day, and Cooking Day continue to be some of our children’s favorite experiences.
At Providence Montessori, learning goes beyond the classroom. We nurture curiosity, creativity, independence, and a love for nature through meaningful hands-on experiences every day.

It’s hard to believe we’re already in July! Our summer program is in full swing, and our days are filled with joyful learning, outdoor adventures, and hands-on Montessori activities.
Our beautiful outdoor classroom has become a favorite place for exploration. The children love watching butterflies on the flowers, listening to the birds sing, and enjoying the refreshing ocean breeze. Nature is one of our greatest teachers!
This week, we celebrated Independence Day by creating and hands on festive Fourth of July art projects and learning about the meaning of this special holiday.

☀️ Summer Has Officially Begun at Providence Montessori! 🌿
Our outdoor Montessori classroom is in full swing, and the children are loving every moment! Working outdoors brings a special kind of joy as they explore hands on Montessori activities surrounded by a beautiful breeze, birds chirping, and the wonders of nature.
Our uninterrupted outdoor Montessori work time encourages independence, concentration, creativity, and a love for learning in a peaceful natural environment.
And of course, our adorable chickens, Sunshine and Valentine, are enjoying summer too! They love strolling around the hill, and the children always look forward to watching and caring for them.
