Another fun cleanup job. This was for a business in Rancho Santa Fe. Those old school patches were so bad. I can’t believe they actually used to do that. The client was shocked with the difference, which makes us proud to take the time to do it right.

We recently did a huge overhaul to the hotel’s WiFi. We ran 40 drops of Cat6 through the most claustrophobic attic space we have ever been in and installed 40 of the new Ubiquiti WiFi 6 access points around the property. We finished the project faster than projected and handed it over to a very happy client. This project was challenging, but we always feel great after being challenged and pulling it off perfectly.

One thing we love about our business is being able to complete a huge job like this while under the gun. This La Jolla, Calif.-based pharmaceutical company called us last-minute and gave us a very tight deadline to help them get their office up and running. The facility's manager did not believe it would be possible, but we came up with the perfect solution that allowed us to connect their existing office to the brand new one. In addition to running 300 feet of fiber, we cleaned up the existing wires, installed Cat6 lines, and set up what seemed to be the only 48-port Ubiquiti switch available on the market.

Ultimately, we saved the client more than $10k a year by eliminating the need for a second ISP account while also enabling the firm to confidently expand its footprint. Thanks to for the fiber and jumpers and for the SFP+ modules.

The local cable company strikes again. …

For this customer, we removed the unnecessary wires and connectors left in shambles by the original cable installer, relocated the modem to a new location, and finished off the job with a clean and simple network panel.

Here’s a fun one. Check out this before and after of the audio system overhaul we did at the famous 10,000 Sf Harmony House in Rancho Santa Fe. We took a dated, half functioning Crestron system and updated it to a seamless, multi-zone Sonos system. The end result is a very clean and amazing sounding system.

After the original installer botched this job, leaving a huge wire mess in the closet of a home in Carlsbad, California, we were called to fix the jumbled disaster and transformed the client's headache into a simple and clean setup. For this project, we activated and tested the home's 4 ethernet lines, connected them to the Orbi system, cleaned up the wires, and housed them into a small 14-inch enclosure.
