“The current height of the San Luis Rey multipurpose room creates a dark, claustrophobic feeling which is not conducive to a musical or theatrical performance… District leaders have said that they do not want to pay any additional costs that would accrue if the ceiling were to be raised, however in light of tonight’s proposed $16 million price tag on just part of the Garrison campus and the district’s plan to remodel Reynolds Elementary with a starting budget $50 million, it is glaringly obvious that there is no equity among schools among Oceanside Unified,” Mariani said.

Oceanside Unified on April 12 approved the sale of the former Garrison Elementary site to developer Van Daele Homes for $16 million.

Dearest Garrison Elementary School Community,

It is with a heavy and hopeful heart that we announce that beginning July 1st, 2020, our social media handle will be fully promoted through SeaGatorNews. You can follow us on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram for up to date stories about the Garrison-San Luis Rey SeaGators!

The Garrison Gators page has been a major part in the communication of our school community for 10 years. We are grateful for all the parent volunteers who put their hearts into this page to promote our school’s commitment to artistic expression.

As we enter into the next chapter of our story may we prepare for our future by honoring our past.

Garrison Elementary School would like to commemorate 50 years of educational excellence though a LIVE video broadcast. This video will consist of pictures and video recordings submitted by you!
