KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! 📚⚖️
Did you know you can postpone jury duty if it falls during the school year? Here's how it works:
✅ What You Can Do: Postpone jury duty to non-teaching days (like summer break) and still get paid at the daily substitute rate!
📝 How to Do It:
1. Complete the Certified Jury Duty Postponement Form
2. Attach a copy of your original jury duty notice AND the signed official court validation for each day served
3. Submit everything to the Personnel Office
⚠️ Important to Remember:
- If you teach summer school, those are considered teaching days
- The District may request additional verification of your documents
