This is the school consolidation/closure plan that was worked out behind closed doors by the Oceanside Unified School District Board and Administration.

We have to fight back against this plan especially since they asked up for more bond money recently from us.

We have to fight to keep Reynolds open and fully modernized/ rebuilt.

REYNOLDS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLOSURE

Hi, I am Michael Mitchell, a parent of two students at Reynolds Elementary School. The Oceanside Unified School Board and Administration have made a recent proposal to shut down Reynolds, tear it down, sell the land and merge our school with Libby or Del Rio. Yes, you read that right.
The other proposal is to completely rebuild Reynold’s Elementary. The issue is that we parents and caretakers have not spoken up. The board thinks we do not care about our school. This is the time to fight for our school. Please email (email addresses are above) everyone with the letter below

Dear School Board Members and Administration,

My name is [First Name, Last Name]. I have children that go to Reynolds Elementary School. I am writing to you because I want Reynold’s to be fully rebuilt and not merge with Libby Elementary or Del Rio Elementary. This will ensure that we have a local school that is walkable for our children and not disrupt the learning environment and great teachers that Reynolds provide.

Your job is to listen to us, the public whose tax dollars you are spending. We want a newly rebuilt 21st century campus that will be technologically advanced and architecturally great that will foster a great learning environment for our Reynold’s students.
