🌟JOIN US IN CELEBRATING OCEANPORT PRESCHOOL'S LEGACY🌟

We are honored that Oceanport Preschool will be recognized by the Oceanport Mayor and Council tomorrow, Thursday, September 19th for 25 years of service to the community.

Though our doors have been closed, the memories, friendships, and lessons shared over the past two and a half decades continue to live on in the hearts of all who were part of this journey.

We'd love to share this moment with our extended Oceanport Preschool family- past and present. 💛

The meeting begins at 7pm at Borough Hall or join virtually through the borough website.

It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the closing of Oceanport Preschool after 24 years.

In 2000, two young women set out to follow their passion of caring for and educating children. In 2017, we were the first preschool in Monmouth County to be rated by Grow NJ Kids. Now we close our doors, leaders in early childhood education, proud of all that we have accomplished.

As advocates of the importance of universal preschool, we were happy to see Wolf Hill participating in the initiative to provide free preschool to our residents. Unfortunately, we were unable to financially compete with a free public preschool program, and deemed ineligible from being included in it’s roll out.

We are not only saddened to lose the privilege of educating your children, but for our teachers who have worked tirelessly, some for as long as 17 years. Our teachers have always been the backbone of our business and have taken great pride in being able to educate and provide a safe enriching environment for your children, even through our largest challenge, Covid.

To all of you who have been part of our family, and allowed us the wonderful experience of caring for your children, we thank you.

We would like to also thank the wonderful staff and helpers past and present, without whom there would be no Oceanport Preschool. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Nicole Deusch, Chrissie Brignola, Tracy Stetter, Meghan Ferone, Maggie Geiger, Michele LaValle, Samantha Slattery, Annie Deusch, Kathleen Gemignani, Joelle Caputo, Jill Ferrante, Jackie McGowan, Nicole Bailey, Lori DeFazio Mutch, Angela Vill, John Sferra, Victoria Cassel, Wes Sherman, Joey Lombardo, Dave Phillips, and Jack Brignola.

A special thanks to the women who raised us, supported us, and always chipped in when we needed it the most, Joannie Slattery, Paula Lombardo, and Irene Henkes.
