Dear Oceano Elementary Teachers and Families,

As we begin planning for the upcoming school year, the PTA would love to hear from you! Our goal is to continue supporting our students, staff, and school community in meaningful and positive ways.

With membership dues each year of only $10, and our fundraising, the PTA spends about $10k/year on Read Across America, assemblies, classroom enrichment, field trips, book fair, campus beautification and so much more!

So weare asking for your input on what you would like to see the PTA focus on next year. This may include:

• School events and family activities
• Student enrichment programs
• Campus improvements
• Teacher and staff support
• Fundraising goals
• Assemblies, field trips, or educational opportunities

We also want to know what goals you believe the PTA should work toward achieving next year to help make our school even stronger.

Your ideas and feedback are important to us and will help guide our planning and priorities for the new school year. Please share your suggestions, ideas, and goals with us by June 1st, 2026.

A huge thank you from the Oceano Elementary PTA to everyone that showed up and for spending their Saturday making our campus even more beautiful and student-friendly! 🎨☀️

Today’s campus beautification project brought parents, students, staff, and community members together to add fresh color and fun to our playground areas. From bright new game courts to creative pathway art and ABC designs, our students are going to LOVE these new additions when they return to school!

A very special thank you goes to Mrs. Alyssa Sparling and Maria Ray-Costanza for leading and organizing today’s event. Your dedication, creativity, and countless hours of work continue to make a lasting impact on our school community.

We also want to thank all of the parents, high school students, and staff members who came out to volunteer, including Principal Herrera, Mrs. Limpic, and Mrs. Gonzalez. Your teamwork and school pride were on full display today.

Oceano Elementary is such a special place because of the people who continually show up for our students. Thank you all for helping us create joyful spaces where kids can learn, play, and grow! 💙💛💚❤️

🚂✨ All aboard for Open House at Oceano Elementary School! ✨🚂

Join us on Thursday , May 21 from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM to see all the amazing things our students have learned on their journey toward a first-class education! 📚⭐

Families are invited to visit classrooms, celebrate student achievements, and experience the incredible work happening at our school.

🍔 Bonus Treat!
Students will receive a $5 food truck coupon after visiting their classroom! Food Trucks will be Crave, Shaka Shak and La Michoacana 🌮🍧

🚲 Bike Week is coming to Oceano Elementary School! 🚲
Get ready to ride, have fun, and earn prizes all week long from May 2nd–8th!

Join us for a full week of exciting events:
🎉 Bike Parade
🚌 Bike School Bus rides
👩‍💼 Bike with the Mayor
🏆 Daily prizes for riders!

Whether you ride one day or every day, it’s all about getting active, building confidence, and having FUN together as a community.

⚠️ Reminder: Students must already know how to ride a bike, these are not training rides. Also, please remember to wear your helmets.

Even though we didn't get photos of everyone, PTA wanted to give a huge thank you to all the students, parents, teachers, and staff who stayed after school to show our campus some love during Spring Cleanup Day! 🌱💙

Your time, energy, and teamwork truly made a difference. Because of you, our school is looking cleaner, brighter, and more beautiful than ever. We appreciate each and every one of you!
