TGIF! This weekend our team is taking the time to better familiarize ourselves with NYC Lead Laws.

ALL Property Owners Are Now Required:

- To have Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certified inspectors or risk assessors, independent of the owner or any firm hired to perform lead-based paint remediation, to test for the presence of lead-based paint in a dwelling unit of a building built prior to 1960

- To inspect apartments that house children 6 years old or younger within one year of the law's passing or upon turnover

- To conduct lead-based paint inspections of all residential units by August 9, 2025
