3 Months In as Executive Director

Three months in, and the lesson is clear: the best leadership insight doesn't come from behind a desk.
Time in our programs, alongside the individuals we serve and the staff who support them, keeps the vision work grounded in what matters most.
Our families have taught me just as much. Meeting them at events and hearing their stories has been everything. Many have been with us for decades, and their loyalty is part of who we are.
In month one, I said the support was loud. Now I know where it's coming from. To our stakeholders and agency friends who keep showing up with ideas, partnership, and encouragement: we know who you are, and we are grateful!
All of this listening is giving me a clear picture of what's gold and must stay, and where we're ready to grow. That's the work for the months ahead.
