It was a great first day with our Greyhounds, and an even better week because of all the community support our school received during the five teacher work days! Thank you to Frank and Stephanie Allison with The Pet Connection for donating our faculty shirts. Thank you to Mr. Scott Lemon with Lemon Mohler for sponsoring a delicious Welcome Back Breakfast from Buzzy’s Midtown, and thank you to Theresa Mohler for providing a yummy and super cute Tato Nut donut hole cake. Thank you to Jill Taylor with DR Horton Homes for bringing in hot beignets and cold brew as a sweet surprise for our faculty this week. We sure do appreciate our community and all that they do for the teachers and students at the AEC.

Important Attendance Updates 🚨: The Mississippi Legislature and the Mississippi Department of Education made significant updates to school attendance requirements statewide with the passing of Senate Bill 2103 on July 1, 2026. A few important highlights are included below.
