This is something we have seen a lot of our families ask about, so we are bringing in Brittany Nelson to help break it down. We are also attempting to shift this series to a virtual format so more families can join.

Attendees will gain an understanding of how these programs support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the types of assistance offered, and how eligibility is determined. The session will also outline the referral and application process, offering clear guidance on how individuals and families can access these critical services.

๐ April is Autism Acceptance Month ๐
At Empowered Pathways, we believe in more than awareness. We believe in empowerment, support, and true inclusion.
Every individual deserves to be seen, heard, and valued for who they are.
We are committed to creating environments where children and families feel supported, where strengths are celebrated, and where differences are not just accepted, but embraced.
Acceptance means building a community where everyone belongs.
Together, we can continue to foster understanding, advocate for meaningful support, and empower every individual to thrive.

This weekend, many of our Empowered Pathways team members showed up in the best way! Volunteering at the Embrace Abilities 2nd Annual Inclusive Egg Hunt!
From start to finish, our team helped create a safe, supportive, and joyful environment where every child could fully participate and feel included. Seeing smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments shared across families is exactly why we do what we do.
It is incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that not only brings passion and excellence into their daily work in the clinic and school settings, but also chooses to give their time on the weekends to serve our community. That level of dedication speaks volumes about who they are, both as professionals and as people. Thank you to Embrace Abilities for letting us be a part of your event!
We are so proud of this team!
Because at Empowered Pathways, inclusion isnโt just something we talk about, itโs something we live.

We are excited for tomorrowโs Behavior Basics: Crisis Prevention & De-Escalation Training that we are providing in collaboration with Embrace Abilities at the USM Gulf Coast Research Laboratory in Ocean Springs.
We are honored to provide this training at no cost for 30 participants as part of our shared commitment to increasing access to practical, evidence-informed strategies that promote safety, communication, and positive outcomes across home, school, and community settings.
This training focuses on proactive approaches, recognizing early signs before challenges grow, preventing escalation, responding with confidence and calm, and strengthening trust and connection along the way.
We are grateful for the opportunity to partner together to support our community and look forward to a meaningful day of learning and collaboration.
