During tonight’s meeting, the OSSD Board of Trustees unanimously approved a resolution authorizing a bond election on the special election ballot to be held March 18.

The recommendation of the no-tax-increase bond comes after more than a year of planning and research conducted by OSSD administration and the Strategic Planning Committee, and aims to address the infrastructure and expansion of several schools, primarily the current Ocean Springs Upper Elementary campus.

Citizens can provide input, ask questions, and learn about the future of Mississippi's #1 ranked school district! OSSD is hosting two forums at different locations next week to accommodate busy schedules.

Nominations are open for OSEF’s Niolon Teacher of the Year Award. Nominations are due by May 20th. 🐾💙

Is there an OSSD teacher who has made an impact on your child’s life? OSEF is now accepting nominations for the 2022 Janine & Pieper Niolon Teacher of the Year award. Established in memory of the late Janine Niolon and her daughter Pieper, this $3,000 grant ($2,500 for supplies, equipment, or professional development; $500 for personal use) recognizes one outstanding teacher each year who has had particular impact on a child’s life. While parental assistance is permitted, nominations must come from a past or current student. Deadline is May 20!
