October is Dyslexia Awareness Month, and one of the best ways to celebrate is by showing what our students can do! 💙

💙 October is Dyslexia Awareness Month!

This month, we celebrate the amazing students at Lighthouse Academy and help others better understand dyslexia. Awareness matters because when dyslexia is better understood, students can be identified earlier, supported appropriately, and reminded that struggling to read does not define their intelligence or potential.

Throughout October, we’ll celebrate our students, share more about dyslexia, and highlight the strengths, creativity, and determination we see in our classrooms every day. 💙

🚨 6th GRADE TAKEOVER! 🚨

For this post, we’re handing our page over to our 6th graders! 💙🌎

Our students were inspired by the devastating floods in Nepal and decided they wanted to do something to help. Their idea: Kindness Knows No Borders, a schoolwide World Kindness Day Walk-a-Thon benefiting the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

And they’re not just participating, they’re leading it!
Their goal is BIG: $5,000!
