Congratulations little ones on all of your hard work this year!! Our graduation program was adorable and we are so proud of all of you!
The students got on stage and did a beautiful performance. They received their diplomas proudly and we had a fabulous feast afterwards thanks to all of our parents. A special thanks to the parents who worked so hard and diligently on decorating the Fellowship hall. It turned out absolutely fabulous.
We will miss each and everyone of our students and their families after the great year we had with you and we hope you have the best summer ever!!!!

It was such a great last week of preschool!!! Monday we went bubble wild in the playground, Tuesday we closed off the parking lot for a bike day, Wednesday was water day and Thursday was filled with so much shaving cream and fun!

We are so happy with our new Eco-playground at the preschool! The old apparatus and tire chips have all been donated and removed, the fence extended and fresh grass planted for our students to play on. With a lumber donation from Hometown Lumber in Ocean springs, friends of the preschool were able to build a play place for the students. A donation of 30 plants was made by Murray's Nursery in Moss point and made it possible for us to have butterfly gardens and shade. Wooden boxes for those plants to grow and flourish were donated by Buff City Soaps in Ocean Springs, and we can't be more thankful for each and everyone of these businesses and people that believed in our mission and our project!! We would also like to thank our families for their patience and open-minds while we made that huge transition. Because of all of you, our students, and many generations of students to come, will now have a sustainable and natural place to play that inspires curiosity, creativity and an awareness of their environment and the natural surroundings. From all of us at Christis Victor Preschool, thank you!!!

We put a video of how to draw Pete the Cat on the interactive board today and gave the students their own art supplies to follow along. Their work was so impressive and each picture so different, we are really proud of these little artists!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you wonderful mothers, and thank you for sharing in it with us! You truly made it a special occasion, and we hope you are all being celebrated today for everything you are!

This week literally rocked at preschool! We learned all about the different types of rocks, how they're formed, what they're used for and where they come from. Mrs. Crystal did a science experiment to show the class how the different types are formed using starbursts, then the students examined different types of crystals, their hardness and transparency. They'll also be bringing home their pet rocks on Monday, so parents get ready for a new family member!

We were working on measurements this week so after doing a little research on whales, we took the students outside, measured out 50 feet and showed them first hand how big those amazing creatures are! Afterwards the students decorated it with their own special chalk drawings. Then of course we did some shadow tracing. It was a fun way to learn something new!

What's an Easter-themed week without an egg and spoon race? The students started at first slowly walking across the yard to make it to the other side without dropping their eggs, then it was a total free-for-all after a few rounds and no rules applied. They were ecstatic to have their spoons and eggs and just had a blast with it!
