Dear Hyak Community,

As we have celebrated Thanksgiving this week and reflected on the many blessings that we enjoy, we also recognize that there are many that do not have what they need.

Giving Tuesday is just a few days away, and we’re already feeling inspired by the spirit of generosity that defines this season and this community. For many years, your Hyak Reunion team has been strengthened by helpful leaders, partners, and supporters like you who believe in using their voices and actions to uplift others.

This year has been deeply challenging for our communities. We also know that many families need extra support right now. That’s why, this Giving Tuesday, we’re inviting you to join us in directing generosity outward to community groups that are making an immediate impact for families who are in need.

We’re choosing this approach because giving back is part of our legacy. WE exist because generations of leaders led with heart, invested in one another, and showed up when it mattered most. This year, we’re honoring that tradition by encouraging our network to support causes close to their hearts.

As we countdown to Giving Tuesday, we hope you feel as energized as we do to uplift organizations doing critical work on the ground. Together, we can spark meaningful change and strengthen communities one act of generosity at a time.

And if you are called to give to the Hyak Reunion Fund, this Giving Tuesday, your contribution will help us continue building opportunity to help fund programs at NBHS and provide outlets that help build students who are and will become our future leaders.

HYAK HOMECOMING PARADE!

Our board was honored to be the Grand Marshalls and lead the parade...and as you would expect, Tammie and Janice lead the way with great enthusiasm! They ended up hopping out of the truck and delivering candy from their handy Buck Electric Ace Hardware bucket, eventually taking the lead on foot, ahead of the gorgeous Marshall's vehicle driven by Pam of Too Cool. (Jody was happy to stay in the truck and refill the bucket as necessary along the way)

They sold raffle tickets along the way, and look forward to seeing everyone at the Homecoming game on Friday night at NBHS at 7PM, where you can pick up tickets for yourself for a Seahawks Ticket package that includes a jacket, or gift certificates to Dugan's Pizza or Buck Electric Ace Hardware!

The Hyaks are getting ready for the community parade!!! Check it out tomorrow at 1:30pm! The parade route runs up and down Point Brown, from the gates to McDonalds and back 🖤💛

For those of us who learned the joy...and mechanics...of music under the tutelage of "Schlutes"!

This is truly amazing to see in person! Our committee got to experience the school spirit when we attended their assembly to present the items purchased with monies raised at our reunion.
