Chesapeake Martial Arts uses Taekwondo-a Korean martial art- to instill focus, discipline, confidence and respect into each of their students. One of the biggest misconceptions about studying martial arts is that you have to already be in shape to learn. These amazing students are preparing to test for their 2nd and 3rd Degree Black Belts next Saturday!
Today, they spent time giving back by cleaning the dojo—the place where they have learned so much over the years under the guidance of Master Instructor Master Shakya Sunil. What started as a group of little kids stepping onto the mat has grown into a group of respectful, kind, hardworking young teens.
We are incredibly proud of how far they have come—not just in martial arts skills, but in character, discipline, leadership, and perseverance. Watching them grow year after year has been truly rewarding.
