MODEL
Under the laws of the State of New Jersey, “in home” childcare may consist of no more than 5 children, among other limitations at a given location. As such, Our Place facilities may have never have a census exceeding 5 children at any time. This level of care is not inexpensive. Given the constraints of size and economics, Our Place cannot be everyones day-to-day childcare solution. But for
those families that become Our Place members, we will strive to create an excellent solution to your childcare needs. Making effective use of real-time communications technology (namely Twitter), Our Place will seek to meet the needs of member families for unscheduled or emergency care needs. REGULARLY SCHEDULED CARE:
Regularly Scheduled Daytime Care will be available from 6:30 am to 6.30 pm, Monday through Friday, except legal holidays in the State of New Jersey. Holidays may be staffed on an as needed basis, but please assume that a State holiday will be an Our Place holiday. Snow/weather-related cancellations will be at Our Place management discretion, but will generally follow the Neptune Township NJ school cancellation orders. OCCASIONAL CARE:
In addition to Regular Daytime Care members, Our Place will be enroll members for emergency, short term, and per diem care. Making use of Twitter, we will regularly announce availability for short term or unscheduled dropoff care, as well as special events, datenights, after-hours needs, etc. Occasional Care members must maintain a current file with Our Place inculding medical forms and contact information, as well as supplies provided and kept on site at Our Place (i.e. change of clothes, sanitary needs, etc.) SICK CHILD POLICY:
It will be Our Place’s policy to refuse care to any child entering the facility on the basis of the Caregiver Staff’s discretion. We are not health care professionals. We cannot offer care to sick children. If a care provider is needed for a sick child on short notice, Our Place will seek to assist members with fast identification of an Our Place care provider who can attend to the sick child away from the other children, at the member’s cost.
