INTRODUCTION:
The Ocean City PTA is a very dynamic, involved group of volunteers, dedicated to enhancing student education,
advocating for children and serving the Ocean City School District and the Ocean City Community. Anyone
can join the PTA - teachers, moms, dads, grandparents, guardians, aunts, uncles, & etc. - ALL ARE WELCOME!! The Executive Board has been working all summer to plan new and
exciting events for the 2021-2022 school year. Therefore, please spread the
word and share the site with families and friends. MESSAGE FROM THE NEW OC PTA PRESIDENT: Jocelyn Palaganas
Thank you for electing me as the next OC PTA President. I believe strongly in working very closely as a family, as a school,
and as a community. We can make a difference in our children's lives
by involving ourselves in their everyday education and activities. Research has shown that parent/teacher involvement in children's lives:
- earn better grades
- score higher on tests
- have better social skills
- show improved behavior
- show more positive attitude toward school/family
- graduate and continue their education on a higher level. Please be a part of my campaign in "Together Making a Difference". This will not be a success without your help, love, dedication,
and support in making it become an accomplishment to be proud of. I welcome
and appreciate any ideas regarding your children's
current and future endeavors. My Executive Board and I are
committed to make a difference in your children's lives. Hopefully, I will
meet some of you or all of you in the coming months. Once again thank you for your love and support,

We serve, in conjunction with the National & State PTA, as a forum in which parents and teachers can discuss ways "...to promote quality education, strive to expand the arts, encourage community involvement,
and work for a healthy environment." We promote the welfare of children and our community in the hopes of raising the standards of home life. We strive to bring into closer relation the home and the schools, so that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of our children and youth. We derive our strength from members who represent a diversity of cultures, a variety of religious and political beliefs, and many ethnic backgrounds. We support and sponsor, in collaboration with the Ocean City School Faculty and the general public, curriculum-based programs, cultural arts performances and many family social events. OUR GOAL:
Our goal is to encourage parent involvement, increase PTA membership through families and teachers, and improve community awareness
of the wonderful programs and successes taking place in our schools. Officers

☀️🎉 WHAT A DAY!!! 🎉☀️
A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make our OCIS 8th Grade Sun & Fun Day such an incredible success!! ❤️🖤
From the donations, volunteering, set-up crew, game leaders, food & supply donations, clean-up crew, and everyone behind the scenes — this day would NOT have been possible without all of you. Every single contribution helped create such a fun and memorable day for our 8th graders as they wrap up their time at OCIS! 🥹🎓
The kids (and teachers too 😄) had an AMAZING time, and it was so special seeing our community come together to make the day unforgettable.
🎶 Special shout out to our DJ, Jody Levchuk, for keeping the tunes flowing and the energy high all day long!!

Celebrating our rising high schoolers 🌺
Friday night’s 8th Grade Celebration Party was such a fun way to celebrate the High School Class of 2030 before the next chapter begins. From games and raffles to snacks, music, and time with friends, it was a great evening full of memories, laughter, and excitement for what’s ahead.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the night so special for our intermediate school students. Wishing all of our 8th graders an amazing summer and all the best as they head into high school this fall! 🎓

🎡☀️ OCPTA Playland Fundraiser is almost here! ☀️🎡
Join us for a fun-filled afternoon at Playland’s Castaway Cove on Saturday, May 30th from 2-5 p.m. while supporting the Ocean City PTA! Wristbands are just $20 and all proceeds help support our schools and students.
🎢 Unlimited rides

🎟️ Wristband pickup: 1:30-3 p.m. at George’s General (980 Boardwalk)
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week may be over, but our gratitude is anchored all year long. ⚓❤️
To wrap up the week, every teacher and staff member received a special OC-themed notebook gift as they ‘disembarked’ from our Appreciation Ship!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the week so special - from breakfasts and sweets to lunches, decorations, gifts, and smiles. We are so grateful for the incredible educators and staff who keep our schools sailing strong every day.

From picnic lunches and sweet treats to candy bars, snack tables, drinks, and a few fun photo ops along the way - we hope every teacher and staff member felt just how appreciated they are.
