"YES, you must show your work."
Basically math teachers put this sentence on repeat from September to June.
Showing work in math class is more important now than ever. With all of the things that make it so easy for students to not show their own work and just input an answer, I have found whiteboard.fi has made showing work so simple and easy in my distance learning classroom.
Students sign into their class session, using a teacher access code. I like to put the link in the zoom chat to make things super easy! From there, they get their own white board! For problems involving graphing, I like to push out the graph paper with the x and y-axis already drawn, so they can easily plot what they need to.
For solving equations, I will write the equation they need to solve and "push" it out to all whiteboards and then they can write their work to solve. It is great for a quick check, warm up, breakout room activity and so much more!
I'd love to hear some ideas on how you are using whiteboard.fi in your classroom or how you plan to use it in the future!
