What if the primary calling of a teacher is not simply instruction, but discipleship?
At Ambleside, we believe the teacher's work is about far more than helping students master academic content. The goal is the formation of persons: young men and women growing in wisdom, virtue, and maturity. As Charlotte Mason wrote,“The formation of character is the ultimate object of education.”
The most influential teachers do more than transfer knowledge. Through daily relationships, shared life, and faithful example, they help shape who their students are becoming. That work is demanding, but it is also one of the highest callings in education.
