Based on Colossians 1:13-23...
Jesus Christ is the sovereign, saving, sin‑forgiving Son of God who powerfully rescues, lovingly redeems, and completely reconciles His people; the radiant, unrivaled, and visible image of the invisible God; the eternal, uncreated, universe‑sustaining Creator in whom all things majestically originate, through whom all things perfectly exist, and for whom all things ultimately live. He is the incomparable, inexhaustible, all‑sufficient Head of the Church; the resurrected, death‑defeating Firstborn from the dead; the God‑filled, God‑revealing Lord in whom all divine fullness permanently dwells; the peace‑making, cross‑triumphing Reconciler of heaven and earth; and the holy‑presenting, steadfast‑upholding Savior who alone deserves absolute preeminence in everything.

What is Grammar School in a Classical Christian Education?
Grammar School is the first stage of a Classical Christian Education. It covers Kindergarten through 6th grade, and its purpose is to build a strong foundation of knowledge, habits, and wonder in children.
Think of it this way:
Before a child can write an essay or solve an equation, they need the building blocks—the “grammar”—of every subject.
1. Children at this age naturally love memorizing and absorbing facts
Classical education works with this God‑given stage. Young students enjoy chants, songs, stories, and repetition, so teachers use those tools to help them learn:
math facts
phonics and reading
Bible verses
history timelines
science classifications
geography
grammar and vocabulary
This isn’t rote for the sake of rote—it’s laying the foundation they will later analyze (Logic School) and express beautifully (Rhetoric School).
2. The focus is on joyful mastery, not rushing ahead
Grammar School emphasizes:
Strong reading and writing skills
Beautiful handwriting
Clear thinking
Attention and diligence
Love for truth, goodness, and beauty
Students learn through stories, hands‑on activities, recitation, and rich literature—not screens and worksheets.
3. Subjects are taught as part of a unified, Christian worldview
Children learn that:
God created the world
Truth is real
Virtue matters
All subjects fit together because God is the author of all knowledge
This gives learning meaning and coherence.
4. Teachers model character as much as they teach content
Grammar School forms not only the mind but also the heart. Students practice:
obedience
respect
gratitude
self‑control
kindness
The goal is to shape habits that will serve them for life.
5. The result: a well‑prepared, confident learner
By the end of 6th grade, students have:
a rich storehouse of knowledge
strong reading and writing skills
disciplined habits
a sense of wonder
a love for learning
They are ready to move into Logic School, where they begin to question, analyze, and reason more deeply.

What is Logic School (Middle School Years) in a Classical Christian School?
Logic School (Grades 7–8) is the middle stage of the classical Christian Trivium, where students learn to think clearly, reason soundly, and recognize truth from error. As children enter early adolescence, their natural tendency to question and challenge is shaped into disciplined reasoning. Students learn formal and informal logic, how arguments work, how fallacies mislead, and how to evaluate ideas with humility and discernment. Across all subjects, they practice asking good questions, tracing causes and consequences, identifying assumptions, and supporting claims with evidence. The goal is to train students to become thoughtful, careful thinkers who can analyze information, test ideas against Scripture, and prepare for the persuasive communication of the Rhetoric years.
Marion County citizens - Do you want your children taught in this manner?
Written some 700 years before Jesus was crucified by the Prophet of Israel, The Prophet who saw God on His Throne high and lifted up. Only God tells what He is going to do centuries before it happens and has the sovereignty to make it happen!
Isaiah Chapter 53
The Sin-Bearing Messiah
53 Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no [a]form or [b]comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no [c]beauty that we should desire Him.
3 He is despised and [d]rejected by men,
A Man of [e]sorrows and acquainted with [f]grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
4 Surely He has borne our [g]griefs
And carried our [h]sorrows;
Yet we [i]esteemed Him stricken,
[j]Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded[k] for our transgressions,
He was [l]bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes[m] we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord [n]has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
8 He was taken from [o]prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation?
For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.
9 And [p]they made His grave with the wicked—
But with the rich at His death,
Because He had done no violence,
Nor was any deceit in His mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the Lord to [q]bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
11 [r]He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the [s]spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.
In a classical Christian school, the Rhetoric School (grades 9–12) is the stage where students learn to express truth with clarity, confidence, and grace. After building a foundation of knowledge in the Grammar years and learning sound reasoning in the Logic years, students now learn how to communicate well—both in writing and in speech. They practice forming thoughtful arguments, engaging in meaningful discussion, and presenting ideas with poise. Through reading original texts, participating in Socratic conversations, and completing projects like the senior thesis, students learn to synthesize ideas across subjects and articulate a distinctly Christian worldview. The goal is to help young men and women become wise, persuasive communicators who can stand firm in their convictions, speak with humility and courage, and contribute thoughtfully to the world around them.
Our goal is to offer parents another education alternative where students graduating Rhetoric School (High School) will possess the skills above. Do you want to see this vision come true? Please partner with us to expand this type of education in Marion County.

HAPPY PALM SUNDAY! We remember Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem which started all of the events this week, and He would be crucified on the cross (voluntarily) to pay for the sins of all who will believe in Him, and believe that God the Father sent Him!
John 12:12-16
12 The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13 took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out:
“Hosanna!
‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’
The King of Israel!”
14 Then Jesus, when He had found a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written:
15 “Fear not, daughter of Zion;
Behold, your King is coming,
Sitting on a donkey’s colt.”
16 His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about Him and that they had done these things to Him.
