Do you remember the feeling the movie Love Jones gave you? When young love felt intoxicatingly euphoric?

Join us for an evening laced with singers whose voices are as smooth as velvet and poets whose wordplay will make you feel both seen and heard. Add in live art that celebrates Black Love + Connection that will be for sale with a FIRE R&B playlist and you are sure to take a stroll down memory lane.

PoetiK Expressions. Ocala Golf Club’s Clubhouse on Sat, Aug 1st (6-10p) and will feature a guest out-of-state co-host and a surprise headliner that you don't want to miss.

Through our Guide Right program, today’s mentorship session gave our young men space to reflect, connect, and grow.

On the final day of Black History Month, our mentees explored the intersections of their identity as Black teens, shared lessons learned from their communities, and embraced the responsibility that comes with carrying the weight of their family name. They honored the mentors who helped shape them and had thoughtful conversations about the difference between change and growth.

Most importantly, they strengthened something that will carry them forward long after today — brotherhood ✊🏾

Cold weather can’t freeze our commitment to service. The Nupes showed up to keep our roads clean because clean streets build pride, and pride strengthens neighborhoods.

With our Polemarch — our President — and his grandson working alongside us, we were reminded that service is a legacy, and teaching the next generation why we give back is just as important as the work itself.

Children who are not reading proficiently by third grade are four times more likely to drop out of high school — which is why days like today matter 📚

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. dedicated today as our National Day of Reading, and brothers from the Ocala (FL) Alumni Chapter proudly visited Oakcrest Elementary to read to classrooms of young scholars and help spark a lifelong love of learning.

We had an amazing time at Ocala’s 2026 MLK Youth Day, sponsored by the MLK Commemorative Commission, at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center!

Youth enjoyed basketball, arts & crafts, face painting, great food (including snow cones), powerful youth speeches, learning how to tie a necktie, raffle prizes, games, and beautiful praise dance performances.

The Ocala (FL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., in partnership with Distinguished Gentlemen, was proud to support our youth with gift cards, backpacks, school supplies, snacks, and drinks.
