is a free, social homeschool group. Ocala Homeschooling is officially back for the 2024-2025 season. 🙂 Check the first comment for upcoming activities. My name is Joanne, mom to five and I've been homeschooling since 2004. I founded Ocala Homeschooling in 2009. I homeschooled my three older children (now graduated) and am currently homeschooling my eight and nine-year-old. Our members meet casuall

y 3-4 times per month for park days, field trips, group projects/activities, service projects, etc.

> Age/Grades:
For the 2024-2025 season, our group will be for homeschooled students ages 8-11 and in grades 3rd-5th. Seven-year-olds starting third grade must turn eight by 9/1/2024. Ten-year-olds can not turn eleven before 9/1/2024. Each year our age/grade span moves forward by one year.

> Younger homeschooled siblings are welcome to tag along. While our activities are geared toward our core ages/grades, we will do our best to include them.

> Older homeschooled siblings are welcome to tag along up to 12 years old. Teens are not allowed at our events until our core group gets closer to that age.

> Extended family, friends, neighbors, etc. are not allowed at our homeschool events. In addition, we ask that only one parent attend homeschool field trips to avoid overcrowding. If you have multiple children and need help, our moms are here to assist you.

> There is no fee to join. The only costs involved will be if a field trip has a fee (each family pays their own) or if supplies are needed for an activity or project (each family pays their own).
