🙂 One of the moms in our homeschool group organized a graduation celebration for the kids who are entering middle school years. 🎓 It was a beautiful day, and everyone had a great time. Some of these kids have been in our group for a few years, and it’s been really special watching them grow up. 🙂

Good tips!

As mothers, it’s easy to feel like we don’t have control over our time. After all, we can’t just ignore a toddler who’s just smashed a plate or refuse to help our child with math because they “should” know it by now. But when it comes to other parts of our day, we do have choices.

When I first began homeschooling, I kept up with my unstructured, social lifestyle. I’d fill my week with Bible studies, coffee with friends, and running errands. Homeschooling was just something I tried to fit in around everything else, assuming it wouldn’t be hard since I was already home.

Then, I read about the importance of treating homeschooling like a full-time job. That insight transformed my approach. I reassessed my schedule and created boundaries: during our homeschool hours, there where no more extended coffee dates, long morning phone chats or quick shopping trips that stretched into hours. I cut it all out.

These new boundaries gave me focus, allowing our homeschool to thrive. I hope these 9 ideas for simplifying your homeschool inspire you to prioritise what matters and create a thriving homeschool environment.
