You already did your tug test, now you will visually check what you did when performing the tug test.

Two types of horns, you have your city horn and your highway horn. The city is electric and the highway horn is air. You would be using your city horn most of the time. The air horn is used only in emergency type of situations not for road range.

Light indicators. We are checking all our lights from inside the cab. We are checking to make sure our switches that are used to activate the lights and are working properly. After your done with the in cab you will have the examiner check the functions visibly outside. You will tell him/her what to inspect.

When you are checking your rims on all tires and axles. There is visual indicators that will help you catch possible problems that are mechanical in nature. Why are the rims either white or chrome?

Lenses and reflectors, your vehicle has lenses and reflectors on all four corners. This is essential to be visible to others on the road or while being parked.

Your landing gear supports the weight of the trailer and the way you lower it or raise it is essential for safety. Landing gear consists of 3 parts.
