We are incredibly proud of our Oblong FFA members who exhibited their livestock projects at the Section 20 FFA Fair on Saturday, June 20th!

These students dedicated countless hours to caring for, managing, and preparing their animals for the show ring, and it was exciting to see their hard work on display!

What a week at the Illinois FFA State Convention!!

The Oblong FFA Chapter had several outstanding accomplishments that we were proud to celebrate this week.

💙Our chapter was recognized with a Silver Rating in the National Chapter Award Program, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our members throughout the year.

💛 Oblong FFA and few of our members were highlighted during Koben Tate’s, State Vice President retiring address!

💙Five Oblong FFA members earned the prestigious Illinois State FFA Degree:
• Lucas Blessing
• Madalyn Lewis
• Gage Lockhart
• Benjamin Patchett
• Jeighlyn Yoder

The State FFA Degree is the highest achievement an FFA member can earn in Illinois. Recipients must demonstrate success in their supervised agricultural experience, leadership involvement, FFA participation, and academic excellence. Fewer than 2% of Illinois FFA members receive this distinguished honor.

💛We are also excited to congratulate Gage Lockhart, who was officially installed as the Illinois FFA Section 20 President. We are incredibly proud of his leadership and look forward to watching him serve Illinois FFA and the members of Section 20 this coming year.

Congratulations to all of our members for representing Oblong FFA with pride, professionalism, and leadership throughout the convention!

💛For his SAE, Lucas has a Grain Crop placement project, where he works on his family’s farm gaining hands-on experience in crop management and learning the ins and outs of the agricultural field.
