🎤JIMMY AWARDS DAY!!🎤

Congratulations to incoming first-year students, Delia Canarie, Tony Fritzgerald III, and Teo Levy, who are performing and competing tonight at The Jimmy Awards!

Delia’s performance as Reno Sweeney in ANYTHING GOES won her the Best Actress award from The Stephen Sondheim Awards in New Haven, CT.

Tony’s performance as Nicely-Nicely Johnson in GUYS AND DOLLS won him the Best Actor award from the Playhouse Square Dazzle Awards in Cleveland, OH.

Teo’s performance as Corny Collins in HAIRSPRAY won him the Best Actor award from The Broadway San Diego Awards in San Diego, CA.

Congrats to rising senior, Jake Van Eycken, who is heading to The Argyle Theatre for their production of BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL! Jake will swing for The Righteous Brothers and Don Kirshner.

BEAUTIFUL plays June 25th to August 30th in Babylon, NY!

Announcing the Oberlin Music Theater 2026-2027 production season!

RENT, directed by Laura Welsh, presented in Oberlin’s Hall Auditorium from December 1-8. RENT will be produced in repertory with:

LIZZIE, directed by Victoria Bussert, presented in Oberlin’s Hall Auditorium from December 4-8.

SOPHISTICATED LADIES, directed by Alex Sanchez, presented in Oberlin’s Hall Auditorium from January 29-31.

The Professional Regional Premiere of DEAR EVAN HANSEN, directed by Victoria Bussert, produced in partnership with Beck Center for the Arts, February 11-March 7.

RAYMIE NIGHTINGALE, directed by Brandon Stackhouse, presented in Oberlin’s Birenbaum Innovation and Performance Space from April 23-May 2.

Tickets will go on sale over the summer for DEAR EVAN HANSEN, and in September for all other productions!

Congrats to Oberlin Music Theater student, Seger Ott-Rudolph, who will be appearing in “Opening Doors: Dreams, Designs, and Detours” at 54 Below tonight! Blending sincerity and humor, “Opening Doors” celebrates community and collaboration, connecting artists from across the city to share their stories through song.

Congrats to our partners at Beck Center for the Arts as performances of SPEECH & DEBATE begin tonight!! SPEECH & DEBATE features OMT student Seth Crawford in the role of Howie.

SPEECH & DEBATE will play Beck Center’s Studio Theater from May 29th-June 28th. Ticket information can be found in our bio link!

Congrats to rising seniors, Ethan Flanagan and Jai McAllister, who will stay in Boise after SWEENEY TODD closes to appear in Idaho Shakespeare Festival’s production of THE WINTER’S TALE!!

Ethan will be featured as Florizel/Dion/Ensemble, while Jai’s casting includes Perdita/Cleomenes/Ensemble.

THE WINTER’S TALE opens August 14th and runs through August 29th in Boise, ID.
