☀️ Summer School Snapshot! 📸✨
We’ve had an absolute blast this week, and our students have been bringing so much energy and creativity to the classroom!
From turning into total detectives for reading and writing scavenger hunts, to teaming up for some friendly math game competition, learning has been a total adventure.
Huge thanks to all of our amazing students for making summer school so much fun.

Youth Basketball Camp was a slam dunk! 🏀 Our kids had a great week improving their skills, building confidence, and having fun.

Students are learning important bike safety skills, building confidence, and having plenty of fun along the way. From safe riding practices to hands-on activities, it’s been a great week of learning on two wheels! 🚲💙

This a great city-wide event and we are so thankful for all who donate and support our students!

Stuff the Bus & Sidewalk Sale
Date: Saturday, August 1, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Downtown Oberlin (Main collection point at 27 E. College Street)

What is "Stuff the Bus"?
"Stuff the Bus" is a major community drive to collect school supplies for the Oberlin City School District. A real school bus will be parked downtown, and the goal is to fill it to the brim! All donations stay right here in the community to support local students and families who may need a little extra help with the rising cost of back-to-school essentials.

Items Needed: New backpacks, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, notebooks, rulers, and glue sticks.

Key Partners: This event is a collaboration between Cable Co-op, City of Oberlin, Rotary, Anthem, Oberlin City Schools, and local favorites like Ben Franklin, Maine Street Grille, and The Woodshed.

What is the "Stuff the Sidewalk Sale"?
Running alongside the donation drive, the Stuff the Sidewalk Sale turns downtown Oberlin into a vibrant marketplace. Local businesses move their shops outdoors, offering special deals, unique finds, and a festive atmosphere.

Why it Matters
As Cable Co-op’s General Manager, Jay Shrewsbury, often says, this event is about community spirit. It’s a chance for neighbors to help neighbors, ensuring that no child walks into their first day of school without the supplies they need.

Plan to attend the School Ready Summer Fun Fest on June 25 at OES starting at 5:30 p.m.

Youth Volleyball Camp has wrapped up, and what an amazing time our kiddos had! 🏐 Thank you to all our student volunteers and volleyball staff for making it a success.
