The Bonner Center for Community-Engaged Learning, Teaching & Research helps students integrate their academic, career, and co-curricular interests through community engagement with regional, national, and global non-profit, public sector, and NGO partners. The Bonner Center hosted the IMPACT summit, which highlighted several partnerships and participation in marquee community-based learning. The event started with talks by David Scobey (from Bringing Theory to Practice) and Marina Burnett (from Widener University). Participants also had the chance to attend breakout rooms, such as "Connecting Classroom to Community".

Day 1 at The Bonner Foundation Summer Learning Institute hosted at Montclair State University, MSU Bonner Leaders, in beautiful Montclair, New Jersey!

Kicked off the day with some Kahoot trivia fun, followed by great speakers like Liz Brandt, Krystal Woolston, Mariana Luna Martinez, President Jonathan Koppell, and J.P. Liddy of The Bonner Center at Oberlin College!

Congratulations to the Bonner Scholar Tzetzangare Rosas-Perez '24, who has been named a 2023-2024 Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellow! This fellowship recognizes students who demonstrate a commitment to community engagement and social change. Throughout the coming year, Tzetza will receive leadership training and networking opportunities.

"Tzetza stands out in the depth and breadth of her commitment to service and social justice," said Oberlin College President Carmen Ambar to Campus Compact.
