📚 Did you know? Allen Parish Schools offers support through the McKinney-Vento Federal Program for students and families experiencing housing instability.

If your family is living temporarily with friends or relatives due to hardship, staying in a motel, shelter, vehicle, campground, or another temporary living situation, your child may qualify for services under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. This federal program helps remove barriers to education so every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Eligible students may receive assistance with:
✅ Immediate school enrollment
✅ School stability
✅ Transportation
✅ School supplies and other educational support
✅ Connections to community resources

No child should miss out on their education because of housing challenges. If you think your family may qualify or would like more information, please contact your child's school or the Allen Parish Schools McKinney-Vento Liaison.
