β¨οΈ Meet the Speech-Language Pathologist β¨οΈ
Jill Seller
>> How long have you been working in education?
"Since 1999 as an Elementary Teacher in Burrton, KS; Wichita, KS; and Houston, MO. Then I took several years off to be home with my boys. When my youngest started Kindergarten, I decided to go back to college for my Speech-Language Pathology degree."
>> What is your favorite thing(s) about working in education?
"I love creating a safe-loving environment for my students where they know it is okay to make mistakes and be human. I also love knowing my students are working hard and developing their skills, even though we are "playing" during our sessions."
>> What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
"I'm not sure I understand this question. What is free time? I work in 2 districts (Oberlin and Golden Plains), work 1 night a week at a clinic in Norton, help my husband with our small business, and attend activities for our college athletes (Gabe is on the FHSU Shooting Sports team and Gavin plays football at Sterling College).
When I'm not busy with any of my other activities, I enjoy volunteering at DCHS events and the movie theater, going for walks, and sitting with my feet up."
>> What's an interesting fact about you?
"1. I LOVE to sing and dance - it doesn't matter where I am.
2. I am famous for singing the wrong words to songs.
3. I try hard to learn people's middle names & call them by their 1st and middle.
4. My household roots for the Pittsburgh Steelers!!!
5. I love for people to call me "Angel."
6. GLITTER makes everything better."
