It takes a village to raise a child (we have a few with plenty of them), but sometimes help is a friend in your corner, adapting and fighting for your cause with you! Our friend has been amazing over and over again, helping in many ways do what we can’t and carrying the torch unashamedly. From preaching for our invaluable women in El Monzón to strategizing ways to serve to bringing gifts, she is joy embodied! Today’s volunteer Spotlight happily goes to Lenica. Gracias, amiga buena.

He’s just one of the best friends and mentors and teachers and leaders out there! Utterly fantastic as a dad and husband, too. Not to spoil his treasures in heaven, but he also just made a significant donation – his very birthday (told you he’s awesome, generous too). Today Anthony is asking to give to his family, that is his adopted family of God in Togo – and they need a new roof. Instead of that fancy foot massager or a deck of GA bulldog cards, would you donate to help properly shelter the work that God is doing in our West Africa campus, Gbantchal, Togo? It’s one of three game-changing projects going on to help our precious kids and their families, a large community, and growing. Have we said how full of links our bio is? Hola, it’s me, El Monzón (I’m a town in east El Salvador)—thanks for being a part of what God has been doing in me through Mentor Leaders, a friend who helps my kids🥹. I love the church here in me, and as a town getting to host missionaries too, I can’t say how much it means they want to help. I’m also REALLY excited Mentor Leaders has some land in me and designed a chivo plan for an amazing school of their own to help my kids for generations to come! The Governor of the Savanes region and our district Prefect recently stepped onto the Mentor Leaders campus in Gbantchal to witness firsthand what love and dedication can build.

After touring our school and health clinic, their strong endorsement affirmed what we see daily: lives are being transformed. We are deeply grateful to God for their visit, their encouraging words, and their ongoing support as we serve this community together.

She’s always a front-runner, sweet Dayana😁 More than being 1 of 3 in our oldest class, she’s a daughter of God in El Monzón, loved for exactly who she is. She also happens to be excellent, extremely kind, soft-hearted, patient, and considerate (great big sister combination, isn’t it?). In future years we hope she’ll tell the story of how God used Mentor Leaders in so many ways to launch her and her sister Keyla into their dreams—we hope she’ll smile as she says how in 2026 a Mentor Leaders school was built that prepared her to be an obvious success. Part of Mentoring leaders means equipping them with current knowledge and skills; the new school will send their education to a new level. Our vision and goal is to give them the best do the best—these are children of God after all! Grow A Heart for each child in El Monzón by helping us build a school for them! WHAT ABOUT EL SALVADOR?” you ask (you’re so savvy for noticing) - we marvel and wonder that God has provided for us to get our own school facilities in Haiti and Togo, but despite amazing mission trip memories and defining moments, as of THIS moment, the Dream hasn’t come to pass yet. Our vision here is fully-equipped facilities, which will mean fully-empowered teachers, who will be instrumental for the fully-launched futures of our students! But it all starts with facilities of our own (sounds almost like a movie) - check out our “Heart for El Monzón” vision project on our site consider investing in hope and future with us! Can we tell you a bit about our friend Stephen? A very kind boy with a beautiful soul, he is also a whirlwind with a soccer ball! We really believe he could be the next Messi, or fill in your favorite fútbol player - he makes the most of the natural fields in El Monzón but what if he had a school with built-in sports areas for talented children like him? GAME-CHANGER (pun intended)!
So thankful for hosting us to kick off, pun intended again, the start of our very first El Salvador Mentor Leaders school!
We have the students, we have the teachers, but now we need YOU to help lay the foundation for the future—literally. Have you thought about a sweet kiddo like Steven needs to succeed?

Urgency & joy collide when we’re arm-in-arm breaking ground on our new school! is helping us host a fun night in a couple weeks (with a raffle) to help us get going! It’ll be big project ($300,000 total) with many moving parts but YOU CAN HELP US LAUNCH! The vision is clear: a full school of our own to give our children in El Monzón the very best (just as we’d want for our own children)! We have the ground, we have the plans—what else do we need?
