Enjoying a day in Tumbling Creek Woods!
Maybe you have wondered about the strange white tubes sticking out of the ground. We use these for classes to observe wildlife such as frogs!
Small puddles can also be sites of interesting things, such as frog or toad eggs and different bugs. Stop and check them out! Try not to stomp on them or ride your bike through them as they can be important to forms of wildlife.
Lastly, if you are like me, I LOVE to pick up caterpillars, but beware of the ones with stinging hairs. I encourage you to grab a Peterson's guide to different types of wildlife and learn about the animals and plants that we enjoy in TCW! It truly is a wonderous resource for our university and the community!
