As my semester at WSU winds down, I have a bit more availability as the K-12 school year hits the home stretch. Does your son or daughter need some one-on-one assistance with English, Spanish, History/Social Studies, or general study and test-taking (including SAT/ACT) skills? I can help! I have worked with dozens of students in Oakwood and Kettering. Extremely reasonable rates; I am full-time faculty at WSU (English) and adjunct faculty at Sinclair (Spanish) with 3 daughters currently in the Oakwood School system.

PANDEMIC STUDY SUPPORT, AKA TUTORING 🙂
Does your student need an academic boost, especially during these trying times?

"Professor Bobby" to the rescue! I teach English and Spanish at Wright State and Sinclair, and I have 3 daughters in Oakwood schools. I've worked with dozens of Oakwood students and will have some limited availability to work with your student in English, Spanish, History/Social Studies, ACT/SAT prep, or general study skills.

Very reasonable rate: $30 per hour. I can tutor online via any number of platforms (Zoom, WebEx, Google Chat, Facebook Messenger, etc.), and I will tutor face-to-face if we're masked up.

Ask around town -- parents will tell you that their sons and daughters have had success working with me. 🙂

Hello, everyone. As I am sure you are aware, all K-12 schools in Ohio will be out of session for the next 3 weeks. As a university professor, I am also working from home and teaching entirely online for at least the next 2-3 weeks.

It's probably unclear at this point if your students will have homework assignments to complete during this 3-week stretch. If they do, and if you'd like for them to have some extra help, I would be happy to help out. I will be sure to keep a safe social distance from your student. I generally tutor in my home, which is clean (I'm kind of a neat/clean freak).

My schedule is quite flexible during the next 2-3 weeks. I specialize in tutoring in English, Spanish, writing, history/social studies, ACT/SAT prep, and general academic coaching and study skills. I don't do science or math -- at least not well. ;-)

I'm a fan of school breaks, but breaks can sometimes lead to students falling behind. Professor Bobby to the rescue! An hour or two a week of tutoring may be enough to keep the academic juices flowing over the break. I work with numerous Oakwood students in grades 4-12 in English, reading, writing, Spanish, history, social studies, test prep, and general academic coaching and study skills. Appointments are available now for the December break. Message me for more information. :-) I have reasonable rates, years of experience, and children in Oakwood schools. My students and I have a good rapport, and I'm confident your student will feel comfortable working with me.

Your special needs child may be experiencing regression if she forgets how to perform the skills she learned in class after a break in instruction.

So far this academic year, I have been working with students in Spanish, writing, reading, history, English, and general studies/academic coaching. The results speak for themselves: the students I work with typically see their grades go up dramatically, usually earning A's and B's in the courses I am helping them with. My schedule is busy, but I do have just a few available slots each week. Do you have a student who might benefit from working with me? Just let me know. My rates are reasonable, and I very much enjoy working with Oakwood students. I will also be available over the December break if your student could use some "catching up" before the new term.

I am very much enjoying working with so many Oakwood students. I genuinely care about the success of the students I tutor, and I am so happy to see them do well. I am passionate about teaching and am happy to be working with students in Spanish, English, social studies/history, writing, SAT and ACT preparation, and Academic Coaching/Study Skills. My students are seeing results: better grades, better focus, better organization/study/time management skills. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my students succeed!
