Mrs. Graham’s reading class has been reading The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. Today, students engaged in hands-on investigation stations designed to apply William's careful observation techniques they have studied from previous lessons. At these stations, they documented observations through sketches and descriptive language, used systematic approaches to observe multiple characteristics, compared findings with peers, and developed hypotheses based on their observations. Throughout the activity, students participated in rich discussions where they verbalized their thought processes. These conversations revealed students' reasoning, allowed them to build on each other's ideas, and helped them recognize patterns they might otherwise miss.
