Happy First week back Panthers! We had 25 kids show up to our first theatre meeting.
I’m SOOOO excited and PROUD of the students showing up, being curious, getting out of their comfort zones, and being excited to dive in to an exciting year for Oakwood Theatre!

Upcoming events:
1. Veterans’ Day Program: the 7-12 grade theatre students will run the program this year: from Lighting, Sound, projections, decorations, and program events- you won’t want to miss the program honoring our Veterans- these high schoolers are READY TO SERVE and lead.
2. Texas Thespians State Festival- I’ll be sending interested kiddos the information for contests and registration info. November!
3. Elementary Christmas Program- auditions for speaking parts coming soon to all elementary students grade 4-6. Littles will be singing their class songs. It’s going to be a great program with HS Student directors and stage management, costuming, and Hair and Makeup all done by the HS Theatre Students! 🥰
4. HS One Act Play- I’m so excited to announce this years’ UIL CONTEST show! Auditions will be in October.
We have SO MANY talented artists at Oakwood- and I’m so happy to direct such a fantastic group of students! Stay tuned for more updates! It’s going to be a GREAT YEAR TO BE A PART OF PANTHER THEATRE!

EEEEK!!!! To say I’m PROUD is an understatement. THIS GROUP. This bunch is one the best, most-resilient, flexible teams of actors and technicians I’ve ever directed. They have had a DIFFERENT cast at ALL 3 levels of contest so far!!!

They are LOCKED-IN WITH such selfless hearts, and a true competitive spirit!

I am SO INCREDIBLY humbled, and proud to be their Director!
Buzzin’ on to REGION!
Congratulations to our Trinidad Bunnies, Sidney, and all the companies for a Lovely day of Storytelling.

Spring is hard…. For One Act Play, for Softball, for Tennis, for Ag, for track, for baseball, for fishing, for Golf, for UIL Academics…. These kids do it all, and I’m proud of their determination and work ethic. I’m proud of my Oakwood Theatre students for sticking with me, trusting the process, and managing all their extracurricular things. These are fantastic students, and they KNOW how to multi-task.
