Miss Connecticut Volunteer Pageant Medical and legal female, never married, not a parent. Bona fide Connecticut resident or full-time employee or student. Citizen of the United States of America.

The Miss Connecticut Volunteer organization is a service-oriented scholarship program that seeks to empower young women through educational scholarships and extraordinary opportunities. ELIGIBILITY:

The Contestant's age eligibility requirements are based on a calendar year, not a pageant cycle.

MISS: A Contestant must be at least 17 years old on the first day of the state pageant and must not

be older than 26 on November 19, 2022.

TEEN: A Contestant must be at least 13 years old, and not older than 18 on the first day of the state pageant.

In order to compete in the state pageant, Contestant must be a:

Completing our panel for Miss Connecticut Volunteer and Miss Connecticut Teen Volunteer is Judge #5 Tonille Simone Lester✨

Tonille Simone Lester is a two- time national title holder. Crowned Miss Jamaica Supranational 2018 and Miss Black USA 2016, Tonille earned a Top 3 placement in the Talent competition and Top 20 in the Photo competition on the global stage at the Miss Supranational Pageant in Poland. She has since used her skills and talents to lead workshops- empowering young women and building their confidence through pageantry, theatre and ministry.

A graduate of Adelphi University’s BFA Theatre program and the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art, Tonille made her professional theatrical debut at the Off-Broadway SoHo Playhouse. On screen, she has appeared in hit television series including HBO’s “The Gilded Age” and Showtime’s “Ray Donovan.”

Beyond the stage and screen, Tonille is a wife, a new mother to a two month old baby boy, a flight coordinator and a private pilot in training. She continues to build a career in aviation with ambitions to reach new heights both in the cockpit and beyond.

Introducing judge #4 for Miss Connecticut Volunteer & Connecticut Teen Volunteer, Nicole Moore ✨

Nicole Moore is a dedicated public servant, youth advocate, educator, and coach committed to empowering young people and strengthening her community. She currently serves as a Correctional Counselor with the Connecticut Department of Correction and as the Head Cheerleading Coach at Albertus Magnus College, where she mentors student-athletes and promotes leadership, confidence, discipline, and teamwork.
Nicole holds associate and bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice and is pursuing a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology at Monroe University. Her professional background includes behavioral intervention, case management, restorative practices, mental health services, and work with court-connected programs. Across each of these roles, she has remained passionate about helping individuals recognize their potential and overcome barriers.
As the former Miss East Rock Lodge No. 141, Nicole understands the confidence, preparation, poise, and commitment to service that pageant participants demonstrate. She is honored to serve as a judge for the Miss Connecticut Teen Volunteer Pageant and looks forward to celebrating the accomplishments, talents, leadership, and community involvement of each contestant.

Introducing judge #3 for Miss Connecticut Volunteer & Connecticut Teen Volunteer, Marcus Dickey ✨

Marcus Dickey is a Juvenile Probation Officer II with the Connecticut Judicial Branch, where he works closely with youth and families to promote accountability, rehabilitation, and positive life outcomes. He previously served as a United States Probation Technician and Juvenile Detention Officer, building a career dedicated to public service and community safety.

Marcus earned both his bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and his master’s degree in Sociology from Southern Connecticut State University and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Criminal Justice at Liberty University. His doctoral research focuses on leadership practices within juvenile probation and their impact on reducing juvenile recidivism.

Beyond his professional career, Marcus is an active community leader. He serves as Director of Social Action for the Delta Iota Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and previously served as President of the Omicron Theta Chapter. His commitment to community engagement was recognized by the Connecticut Judicial Branch with the Community Champion Award for his collaboration with community partners and dedication to improving services for youth and families.

Marcus is honored to serve as a pageant judge and looks forward to celebrating the confidence, talent, and authenticity of each contestant.

Introducing judge #2 for Miss Connecticut Volunteer & Connecticut Teen Volunteer, Victoria Gendreau ✨

Victoria Gendreau is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Art Therapist at a psychiatric day school, bringing a unique blend of compassion, creativity, leadership, and advocacy to her work and community. Originally from Warren, Rhode Island, Victoria earned her bachelor’s degree in Digital Web and Multimedia Design and her master’s degree in Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College.
A lifelong gymnast with 25 years of experience in the sport, Victoria competed as a member of the Springfield College Women’s Gymnastics Team and later served as the Graduate Assistant Coach for the Springfield College Men’s Gymnastics Team. Today, she continues to share her passion for the sport as a coach at both the high school and USA Gymnastics levels.
Victoria is also a proud former pageant competitor, having competed for 12 years. Throughout her pageant journey, she dedicated herself to mental health advocacy and community service, using her titles as a platform to make a positive impact. In 2024, Victoria proudly held the title of Miss Rhode Island Volunteer and was honored with the Bronze President’s Volunteer Service Award at the national pageant. Her pageant accomplishments also include titles such as Miss Royal America, Miss U.S. of America, America’s Yankee Miss, and Miss New England.
Today, Victoria remains an active member of the pageant community as a judge. Her diverse experience as a competitor, titleholder, coach, mental health professional, and community advocate gives her a well-rounded perspective and a genuine appreciation for the dedication, confidence, character, and purpose that pageantry represents.

Introducing judge #1 for Miss Connecticut Volunteer & Connecticut Teen Volunteer, Ashley McClain ✨

Ashley McClain is the Founder and Executive Director of Beyond the Horizon, Inc. and the creator of LINKED – Autism Safety Project. A graduate of the University of New Haven with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration, Ashley’s professional background includes social work, community advocacy, and more than a decade in higher education.
Following her son’s Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis in 2020, Ashley dedicated herself to improving safety, accessibility, and inclusion for individuals with disabilities and their families. In 2023, she founded LINKED – Autism Safety Project to provide accredited disability awareness training, consultation, and resources for first responders and community organizations. She also launched Beyond the Horizon, Inc., a Connecticut nonprofit that offers sensory-friendly and adaptive programming while fostering inclusive communities throughout the state.
Ashley serves as an appointed Council Member for the Connecticut Council on Developmental Disabilities and is a certified instructor through the Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) Council and the Connecticut Department of Public Health Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS), providing accredited training to first responders across Connecticut.
Beyond her advocacy work, Ashley has extensive experience in the pageant industry as a former contestant, business manager, executive director, choreographer, and state board member. She is also the Head Coach of the University of New Haven Dance Team, which was recently crowned National Champions at the College Classic National Competition.
Ashley lives in North Branford, Connecticut, with her husband, Josh, and their two children, Leigha and Colton. Her personal and professional experiences continue to fuel her passion for creating safer, more inclusive communities where individuals of all abilities can thrive.
